The new company "United Milling Systems" is combining the know-how from several companies with a long history within grain handling and flour production.

United Milling was establised in 1978 by Carlsberg in order to commercialise the agro-industrial technologies developed by the Carlsberg Research Centre.

Engsko A/S was established in 1900 and specialised in a wide range of quality products for flour production. As from 2004 the Engsko flour milling range has also included flour milling plants from Skiold A/S and ABC Hansen A/S - companies which both have long traditions within this area.

United Milling Systems and Engsko merged in 2005 and and have since then continued to pioneer new milling technologies suitable for processing cereal crops, and have installed several new milling systems in Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East.

In 2008 all activities will be on one site in Randers and this new one-location set-up will further strengthen the company.
